By accessing and using Divide ("the Application"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not access the service.

2. Description of Service

Divide is a free shared expense management and personal finance application. It allows users to:

• Create groups to split expenses among participants.
• Record and categorize personal expenses.
• Calculate balances and debts between group members.
• Offline support and automatic synchronization.
• Sync data across devices.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Application, you must register an account by providing:

• A username.
• A valid email address.
• A secure password.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password, and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to:

• Provide truthful and accurate information.
• Not use the application for illegal or unauthorized purposes.
• Not attempt to access other users' accounts without authorization.
• Not interfere with the normal operation of the service.
• Not distribute malware or malicious code through the platform.

5. User Content

You own the content you create in the Application (expenses, groups, descriptions). You grant us a limited license to store and process this content solely for the purpose of providing the service.

6. Free Service

Divide is a free and ad-free service. We do not charge for using the application nor do we display advertisements. We reserve the right to introduce optional premium features in the future, but basic features will remain free.

7. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Application available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may perform scheduled maintenance that could temporarily affect availability.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Application is provided "as is" and "as available". We are not responsible for:

• Data loss due to technical failures.
• Financial decisions based on application information.
• Disputes between users regarding payments or debts.
• Indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms.

10. Modifications

We may modify these terms occasionally. Changes will take effect once published in the application. Continued use of the service after modifications constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any dispute will be submitted to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Madrid, Spain.
